About Sally Fuller
I grew up in western Pennsylvania and was drawn to animals and nature from an early age. As a child I was happiest exploring the local woods, catching salamanders and picking violets and lilies of the valley. Continuing throughout adulthood, I still feel most at peace when I am immersed in a natural setting. In addition to my passion for nature, I have been drawn to art throughout my life, painting in oils and watercolors, and avidly pursuing photography, which is now my chosen medium. My photographic pursuits represent a logical extension of seeing and appreciating nature. In my work, I like to explore the boundaries between photography and artistic interpretation. As such, some of my photographs are purely the beautiful images that come directly from the camera. But in others, I conceptualize them beyond what the camera sees, and have reimagined them and enhanced the images with a variety of techniques to create impressionistic art photographs.
I have been fortunate to live, work and travel across several continents. Wherever I go, my passion is in finding and interpreting nature’s beauty in diverse settings from backyard flowers and butterflies to North America’s natural wonders and wildlife to the plains of Africa. Through my photography, my goals are to provide others with a window into the natural world and to encourage the appreciation of the natural beauty that surrounds us.
I hope you enjoy browsing through my photographs. I would love to hear from you with comments or questions. Thank you.
